About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and HealthGate.ai. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the services.

Additional terms may apply to particular features, and where they do they form part of this agreement.

What HealthGate.ai does

HealthGate.ai is a platform that connects patients with licensed healthcare providers, pharmacies, laboratories and insurers, and that keeps your health record in one place.

We facilitate and coordinate care. We do not practise medicine and we do not provide medical advice ourselves.

Not for emergencies

The services are not for medical emergencies.

If you are experiencing an emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use this platform to seek urgent or emergency care.

Medical care and responsibility

Clinical decisions are made by the licensed provider you consult, and the professional relationship is between you and that provider.

Providers are independent practitioners and are responsible for the care they give. We do not recommend or endorse any particular provider, treatment or medicine.

Information on the platform is not a substitute for a consultation with a qualified professional.

Your account

You must be 18 or over to create an account, and the information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.

Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, and you must tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

Acceptable use

Use the services lawfully and only for their intended purpose.

Do not impersonate anyone, misuse another person's information, attempt to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, or extract data from it by automated means.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

Fees and payments

Fees are shown before you confirm a consultation, service or order.

Payments are handled by third-party processors, and their terms apply to the payment itself.

Where a service is covered by insurance, the outcome of a claim is decided by the insurer under your policy, not by us.

Third parties

Doctors, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, insurers and delivery partners are independent of us and have their own terms and policies.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.

Intellectual property

The platform, its software, design, brand and content belong to HealthGate.ai or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the services. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything to you.

Your health information remains yours; this section is about the platform, not your data.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the services available, but they may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control.

Features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the service develops.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from the clinical decisions of an independent provider.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your use

You may close your account at any time.

We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or if we are required to do so by law. Records we are obliged to keep are retained for the periods the law sets.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.

Continuing to use the services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
