Who we are

HealthGate.ai operates a digital healthcare platform in Lebanon that connects patients with licensed doctors, at-home care providers, pharmacies and insurers.

For the purposes of data protection law we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in it at contact@healthgate.ai.

Information we collect

Account information you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and date of birth.

Health information you provide or that a provider adds on your behalf, such as consultation notes, prescriptions, test results and medical history.

Payment and insurance details needed to complete a purchase or submit a claim. Card details are handled by our payment processors and are not stored by us.

Technical information collected automatically, such as your IP address, device type, browser and the pages you view, which we use to keep the service secure and working.

Messages you send us, including support requests and feedback.

How we use your information

To provide the services: creating your account, connecting you with providers, arranging consultations and at-home visits, and delivering prescriptions and orders.

To process payments and, where you ask us to, submit and track insurance claims.

To maintain your health record so that you and the providers you choose can see your history in one place.

To keep the platform safe: detecting and preventing fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.

To improve the service, using aggregated or de-identified information wherever that is sufficient.

To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping requirements that apply to healthcare.

Health information

Health information is sensitive and we treat it as a special category of personal data.

We use it only to deliver the care you ask for, and we share it only with the providers you choose to consult or with people you have authorised.

We do not sell health information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

How we share information

With the doctors, clinics, nurses, laboratories and pharmacies involved in the care you request.

With insurers, where you ask us to submit or follow up a claim on your behalf.

With service providers who work for us under contract, such as hosting, communications and payment processing. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.

Where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of you, other users or ourselves.

If our business is reorganised or transferred, information may move with it, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

Keeping your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active.

After that we keep only what we are required to keep, for as long as the law requires. Medical records are subject to statutory retention periods that can be longer than the life of an account.

When a retention period ends, information is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

How we protect it

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to staff who need it for their work, and administrative access is logged and reviewed.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@healthgate.ai.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.

You can object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, ask for your information in a portable format, and withdraw consent where our use of your information relies on it.

To exercise any of these, write to contact@healthgate.ai. We will respond within the period the law allows, and we may need to verify your identity first.

Cookies

This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as remembering your language.

Any analytics or measurement cookies are used only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

Children

The services are intended for people aged 18 and over.

A parent or legal guardian may use the services on behalf of a minor in their care, and is responsible for the information they provide.

Information processed outside Lebanon

Some of our service providers process information outside Lebanon.

Where that happens, we require appropriate contractual and technical safeguards so that your information keeps a comparable level of protection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service develops or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.

If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you before it takes effect.
